Fnatic’s head coach Nicholas NicoThePico Korsgård left the club, as the organisation announced this Monday. The manager of the team Finlay Quaye Stewart will be the interim coach of the team until they find a replacement. In the meantime, Michael Garki Bolze will be the new manager.
NicoThePico was Origen’s head coach before he was replaced by Alvar Araneae Martín in the summer. However, he took the place of the previous Fnatic head coach, Luis Deilor Sevilla, one month later.
NicoThePico stated that after he joined Fnatic at the end of last year’s summer split, that he received the opportunity to build a brand new roster with the FNC management for the next season. They started off by looking well and even had excellent synergy and meshed well, both out of the game and in. However, as time passed, they began to face challenges on the inside. This resulted in occurring problems that he could not foresee before and even fix in because of time.
He added that since he has not able to provide the remedy they need, he feels that someone else with an outside perspective on the team’s issues in both gameplay and draft will be a better solution than the one he could provide. He has decided to leave Fnatic immediately.
The team is currently in the 3rd place of Group A in the EU LCS Spring with a record of 4-6. Fnatic will face Misfits on the 2nd of April, Sunday.
